About Us
I have
been dancing for several years and have had the opportunity to observe
diverse qualities that occur in the dance world.
I found myself traveling further and
further north, south, east (well, actually we’re about as far east as you can
go) and west in search of dances that provided not only a great floor big
enough to support all of the dancers but a place that had the appropriate
ambiance and a friendly crowd. Then it
occurred to me - why not find a location in the area that encompassed these
features. So off I went on the quest
to find a location and what a location it is – The South Wall Banquet
Facility at 2605 Atlantic Avenue,
Wall, New Jersey. I decided to do a “test run” in August to
allow people to see first hand that this is an
outstanding facility. Oh boy, were
they amazed!
In
October, we had our first performances with John Lindo
under a full house. After that dance,
everyone wanted me to keep it going. I
was hooked!
There were certain considerations. While belonging to a
familiar “dance community” has its benefits, I found that going to the same
places every week becomes more routine than
enjoyable. Therefore, I decided to
hold a dance once a month. A dance
that would not conflict with other area dances but that would hopefully blend
the various dance arenas so that dancing could once again become what it was
intended to be - a place where people gather to have fun, socialize and Just
Dance - not a competition for participants. “Just
Dance” became the perfect name for the principles I embrace.
In
doing this, it is my hope to enable more people from various areas to mix
together, enhance their dance experience, make new friends and expand their
options.
I have found a beautiful place
to welcome you to at an affordable price.
We will provide top of the line DJ’s, dance hosts, and a lovely array
of refreshments; not to mention a wonderful group of people who have
encouraged, supported and helped me along this journey. I cannot thank them enough.
I hope you will join us some evening. You will not be disappointed!
“Looking
forward to meeting you.”
